Now, I know I'm getting old! When your friends start calling you cause they want to use you as a reference on a job application, you're old. At least that's how I feel. One of my friends called yesterday and she's trying to get hired at a company that sells safety products. I though it was kind of an odd job for her, but I'm sure she'll do fine. I'll of course give her a glowing recommendation. That's what friends are for when your old I guess..lol!! Oh well, that's fine...I'm ok with it...I think...give me some time to soak it in and I'll get back to you on this subject ....LOL!

We are officially landlords now...ooooooo...lol! Our tenants are all moved in finally. We still have to go over there and get the stuff out of the shed at some point, but that's not too big. I'm thinking we should probably get a new air filter for the furnace too. It hasn't been changed since we moved out so I'm sure its pretty bad...lol! I remember someone schooling me in the importance of air filters
a long time ago...and it stuck with me for some reason...lol! I don't know why, but it did. So that's on my to do list for this week. A trip to the hardware store is always fun...not too many women think that way, but I do...I love the hardware store..call me weird I guess. lol! Are there any other women out there that are fans of the hardware store, I know I'm not alone...go ahead and admit it, I won't tell....LOL..

I hope you all have a more exciting life than me...lol! Seriously it's getting pretty boring around here. We need to start getting out more or something, I got a bad case of cabin fever or something. I need to get out for a day, go to the mall, or go to the beach, or just go somewhere...lol! Sitting here day in and day out is starting to drive me nutty...or more nutty...lol!

Next weekend we are going to do something if it kills me. I think maybe go wander around the mall, take the kids to the playland. They love that, I love that....its a win/win situation. What do you guys do for fun when you're short on cash, but bored out of your mind? Leave me comment!!

You know sometimes its a pain being the responsible friend...lol! I have always been known for being the responsible, reliable, and the person that you can go to when you need help or someone to listen to. Sometimes its a pain, but overall I like that people depend on me and trust me enough to share their problems with me.

Most of the time its silly little things, sometimes its bigger problems. The last one was a bigger problem. One of my oldest friends is getting a divorce, and so of course she called me. We talked for what seemed like forever and I helped her get some plans made. I even helped her find a moving company by looking up moving companies Los Angeles. Google is your friend..lol! I think she will be fine, but that won't stop me from worrying about her. I'm a good friend like that...lol!

Well my father in law was here this weekend and did a once over on the house. He thinks that all the pipes under the house need replace...oh fun! That's something to look forward to. So along with the bathroom floor, there will be other big repairs to do. Little things I don't mind, it's the big ones that worry me. How are we gonna pay for it? Who are we going to get to do it? When are we going to get it done? Too many things to think about.

One thing I do like to think about though is actually redecorating the bathroom. What glass tile
are we going to pick, what color paint, what will the vanity look like? All exciting things. I can't wait for that part. I had a lot of fun picking out the color for the bedrooms. I'm thinking of a light green color for the bathroom. I think that would look good. There will be lots to pick out, and I can't wait!!!!!!!!!

I don't mean to whine...oh wait..yes I do! It's hot!!!!!!!!!!! It's muggy, and it's driving me nuts. I can't stand it when everything is wet and sticky. Your clothes stick to you....it's just not good. I can deal with the heat...that's not a problem. It's just the humidity that gets to me. A few weeks ago I was complaining that it was never going to warm up. I was wrong. So, so wrong. Ugh!!!!!

Thank goodness it's starting to finally cool down. We can turn the attic fan on! Yay! It's our only saving grace in weather like this. It's wonderful, cools the house down in a matter of minutes. They're great.

I think tomorrow is supposed to be even worse. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully I don't melt away...lol!
